About me and my therapy practice
I'm a Â鶹Դ´ accredited counsellor, member of BICA aswell as a qualified supervisor. I support a range of helping professionals, including counsellors, psychotherapists aswell as student/volunteer counsellors. I offer individual and group supervision, providing a reflective space to explore your client work, professional challenges, and personal development.
I integrate primarily two models - the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision and the Functions model. As I work online, I also include the CLEAR model in my online practice. The Â鶹Դ´ Ethical Framework and the Â鶹Դ´ Supervision Competence Framework both inform my work as a supervisor.
I offer an initial 40 minute consultation session on Zoom or on the telephone. I work face-to-face in Chelmsford, Essex or online. Prices vary for group supervision depending on the number of supervisees. Please contact me to discuss your supervision needs.
Practice description
My supervision is tailored to your needs depending on what is most important for you at that point in time. We need to cover any safeguarding or risk each session otherwise the agenda is yours to set. I will be challenging if I feel the need to be, I will also offer support and listen to what is troubling you. I have enough humility to be able to say 'I don't know and I will find out' or 'lets look it up together so we both learn'. I am not perfect. I gave up trying to be perfect a while ago but sometimes I recognise I am still trying.
We can both swear if that's what we agree. My humour is dry and sometimes dark. I worked in Domestic Abuse and in a psychiatric hospital for a while - we do what we need to do as practitioners to be able to listen to our clients content. My aim is never to be punishing or shaming but to be curious, neuro-affirming and to offer opportunities for insight and to promote autonomy in the supervisees I work with.
I can offer support with Â鶹Դ´ accreditation if that would be useful. Having taught counselling for several years from Levels 2-6, I can be of good use when it comes to writing about case material.
I work in a person-centred way for the most part and will work to support you in your practice in a space of both holding and challenging.
My first session
The first session will be spent exploring how we both work and what we both expect from one another in order that we can decide if we think we might be able to work with each other potentially on a long term basis. For example, I will ask some open questions to gather information about your clinical practice to understand what you are looking for in a supervisor and whether I think I 'fit the bill'. This forms part of my assessment of you as a supervisee.
I would encourage you to ask me questions too.
Maybe contact other potential supervisors too to see who you think might be best suited to you.

About me and my therapy practice
The skill of listening is under rated and it is easy to forget how valuable it is to be genuinely heard, acknowledged and validated. That is what I aim to do in sessions with my clients. My aim is for the sessions to be collaborative so they are led by you. I will bring my knowledge and curiosity into our work.
Practice description
I am an integrative counsellor- this means I work from a person centred foundation which I think is important to building hopefully a honest and genuine relationship.
I have many years experience of working with survivors of domestic abuse which included physical, emotional (psychological), sexual and financial abuse. In addition, I have experience of working with trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, separation, parental alienation, egg donation and fertility.
I am a member of BICA (British Infertility Counselling Association). My particular areas of interest are domestic abuse and fertility.
As a member of Â鶹Դ´, I take my commitment to providing ethical practice seriously. Mental health is so important - it is worth investing in and equally as important is finding a counsellor who you think is a good fit for you.
I am able to offer student rates plus concessionary rates to individuals about to undergo or undergoing fertility treatment, especially those with a history of domestic abuse.
I can offer sessions either online (Zoom) or face-to-face close to Chelmsford City centre in Essex.
My first session
Our first session will be spent exploring what you would like to achieve and how we might achieve it together. I can tell you more about how we might work together and you can ask any questions you have.
