Thank you to everyone who has been involved in Your听voice,听your 麻豆原创 since we launched this programme back in November.听It鈥檚听been fantastic to hear from so many of you.听

For anyone who听hasn鈥檛听yet heard of Your听voice,听your 麻豆原创, this is a programme designed to put you, our members, at the heart of everything we do. 鈥痀ou can keep up to date here:听Your voice your 麻豆原创听

The past few years have brought a lot of change and, with that, some significant challenges. We recognise that we听haven鈥檛听always got everything right, but听we鈥檙e听committed to improving the way we work with you, to rebuilding trust and making sure that every member feels valued,听heard听and involved.听

Over the past four months,听we鈥檝e听been working closely with听Eastside听People, an independent consultancy supporting this programme, to create opportunities for honest conversation that will help us better understand what meaningful engagement looks like. Thousands of you have contributed your voices by responding to our member engagement survey, attending focus groups, taking part in听interviews听and sending in ideas and feedback to the team.听

In March, Phil James, our CEO, will share some feedback and reflections from the first phase of this programme, so please look out for the video in one of our upcoming e-bulletins.听

What鈥檚听happening now听

In March and April,听we鈥檙e听moving onto the next phase of the programme.听Eastside听People will be running a series of creative听practical workshops, working with members to co-create a better approach to member engagement. Some of these are happening online, and some will be taking place at network meetings and Making Connections events. Many of you expressed an interest in taking part in these when you filled out the survey, and as spaces are limited,听we鈥檝e听sent out invitations to a听selection听of members from across the UK, stages of career and areas of the profession. So far, the workshops are proving听really popular, but there are still a few places available, so please do email us at听yourvoice@bacp.co.uk听if听you鈥檙e听interested in taking part.听

Why听this matters听

We know members care deeply about the profession and want to contribute their听expertise. We also know engagement听hasn鈥檛听always felt as clear or accessible as it could be. This programme is about learning from that so we can do things differently, then build approaches together that are inclusive and sustainable.听

Looking ahead听

This is ongoing work.听We鈥檒l听continue to share updates as opportunities open throughout the year, and there will be further opportunities to get involved. Your voice really does matter to us, and through this programme, we intend that it will help shape what comes next.听
