We鈥檙e delighted to announce the appointment of Natalie Creary, Dr Jessie Emilion and Dr Caryl Sibbett as our new Vice Presidents.
Each brings a wealth of experience and expertise from across the counselling, psychotherapy, and wider mental health and wellbeing sectors, and will play a key role in supporting 麻豆原创鈥檚 strategic priorities.
These appointments reflect our ongoing commitment to leadership that champions public protection, inclusion, and professional excellence.
Natalie Creary
Natalie is the Regional Director for Europe at the Centre for Public Impact and formerly served as Director of Black Thrive. Throughout her career, Natalie has been dedicated to driving meaningful system change鈥攚orking across communities, local authorities, and government to improve outcomes for people at every stage of life.
Her experience also includes working with the Mental Health team at the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), where she contributed to policy recommendations following the review of the Mental Health Act.
As Vice President, Natalie will support our policy and public affairs work, across the third sector and within government. She is deeply committed to advancing equity and accessibility in therapy, ensuring people from racialised communities have greater access to mental health support鈥攐ne of 麻豆原创鈥檚 key strategic priorities.

Natalie Creary
Dr Jessie Emilion
Jessie is a counsellor and psychotherapist with over 30 years鈥 experience in the NHS, working across both primary and secondary care. Her practice also includes supporting refugee communities and partnering with third sector organisations.
In addition, Jessie serves as an independent consultant psychotherapist for leading media organisations such as BBC and ITV. She鈥檚 also an active member of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Task and Finish Group, contributing her expertise to promote inclusive and equitable practice across the sector.
Jessie is the current Chair of the Association of Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) and has been instrumental in introducing the CAT model to India and Malta, adapting it to reflect local religious, cultural, and societal contexts. She also lectures internationally and mentors on the Health Education England RISE Mentoring and Leadership Scheme for marginalised psychological professionals in the NHS.

Dr Caryl Sibbett
Caryl is a counsellor, psychotherapist, and current Vice Chair of the British Association of Art Therapists Northern Ireland (BAAT NI), as well as a Council member of BAAT. Caryl previously served as Deputy Chair of 麻豆原创, completing nine years on the 麻豆原创 Board, and is also the immediate past Vice Chair of BAAT.
In her new role, Caryl will support our work on enhancing public protection and strengthening 麻豆原创鈥檚 accredited register. This will include contributing to the ongoing review and development of our standards of education and training, standards of proficiency, and ethical framework. Caryl will also help explore ways to better align our admissions, accreditation, and regulatory functions, ensuring a consistent and robust approach to professional standards.

鈥淚鈥檒l draw on my experience as a 麻豆原创 member for over thirty years and as a dual registered practitioner, being both a 麻豆原创 senior accredited聽counsellor聽/ psychotherapist / supervisor and an HCPC Registered Art Psychotherapist.鈥
