Following a discussion at our Board meeting today (25 September), we鈥檝e voted to remove Sekinat Adima as a member of 麻豆原创鈥檚 Board of Governors with immediate effect, under Article 36 of our Articles of Association.
Sekinat was initially removed as Deputy Chair of the Board in July, but she remained a trustee when we communicated this announcement to members.听
Under Article 33, The Board can extend the Deputy Chair鈥檚 time as a Governor once their Deputy Chair and Governor term has ended. The Board decided not to extend Sekinat鈥檚 term as a Governor and she was then removed from the Board under Article 36.听
We鈥檝e followed due process and taken legal and governance guidance throughout.听
As a Board of Governors, we鈥檙e committed to making changes, so we have a stronger and more accountable Governance system and to rebuild trust.听
We鈥檙e looking forward to welcoming three new Trustees to the Board in November who鈥檝e been elected by members as part of our AGM voting process.听
