In February 2026, our SCoPEd column B to C route 5: Recognition of prior learning (RPL) route will open for those members who became senior accredited members via our previous senior accreditation scheme (awarded prior to 2023), and who don’t have a validated Level 7 (or equivalent) counselling or psychotherapy qualification and so can’t apply during the transition period. ÌýÌýÌý

This route will only be open between February 2026 and January 2027 and will be available at no cost to these members. Because this is a temporary route, we’d encourage members who wish to apply to start thinking about your application ahead of the route opening. You can use the eligibility criteria and guidance documents below to help with this.

From February 2026, previous senior accredited members will also be able to apply via the routes available for our accredited members, if eligible. While these routes are not time-limited, they'll only be free to previous senior accredited members (awarded prior to 2023) for the first year (from February 2026 to the end of January 2027).

Previous or current senior accredited members (awarded prior to 2023) who hold a validated Level 7 (or equivalent) counselling or psychotherapy qualification and meet the eligibility criteria can apply for the revised senior accredited membership now. Transition period applications will close on Friday 30 January 2026. We’d encourage you to apply well ahead of the closing date. Visit our accreditation webpages for more information. There’s no cost to apply.

If you’re a current Â鶹ԭ´´ senior accredited member and also a BPC psychodynamic counsellor or psychotherapist or a UKCP psychotherapist aligned to column C of the SCoPEd framework, you can move to our senior accredited membership category during the transition period. Please contact our customer services team for more information about the process if you wish to do this during the transition period. There’s no cost to apply.ÌýÌý
