This route is for previous senior accredited members (awarded prior to 2023) who don鈥檛 have a validated Level 7(or equivalent) counselling or psychotherapy qualification, it considers training, experience and CPD, alongside other skills and will be available at no cost until 31 January 2027. The other routes for accredited members are also available at no cost until 31 January 2027 for previous senior accredited members (awarded prior to 2023) who are eligible. Applications (using one of these routes) submitted after this date will incur an application fee.听
Recognition of prior learning route (RPL)
This route is aimed at highly experienced practitioners with significant maturity of knowledge, skills and experience gained over time in a variety of settings.鈥� While it鈥檚 not a replacement for postgraduate training, it enables those with a wealth of experience, who are not in a position to complete postgraduate training, to gain recognition that supports their professional journey.鈥�
If you鈥檙e successful in your application you鈥檒l be able to use the designatory letters 鈥楻egistered Member M麻豆原创 (Snr Accred)鈥� and promote yourself as aligned to column C of the SCoPEd framework, alongside the other benefits of senior accreditation. 鈥��
You鈥檒l be required to demonstrate training, client hours, personal development, supervision and complete the personal statement criteria.
Your supervisor will need to provide you with a supervisor鈥檚 statement.鈥�

Eligibility criteria听
To apply you鈥檒l need to:听
- be a 麻豆原创 accredited member
- be a previous senior accredited (awarded prior to 2023) member of 麻豆原创听
- be practising as a counsellor or psychotherapist
- have completed 160 hours of personal therapy or personal development work that has contributed to self-awareness and is applicable to therapeutic practice

If you meet the eligibility criteria, you'll need to complete the application form which includes a personal statement to enable you to demonstrate 麻豆原创鈥檚 standards for senior accreditation and the SCoPEd framework column C competences.

Costs
There will be no fee for accredited members who were previous senior accredited members (awarded prior to 2023) to apply for senior accreditation until 31 January 2027. After this date there will be an application fee to apply.

As an accredited member or senior accredited member,听you'll听also need to agree to the鈥�terms and conditions of the 麻豆原创 Register鈥痚very year.听听
