Experiences of Adult Children Using Counselling to Process Life with an Emotionally Immature Parent

Did you grow up with an emotionally immature, self-absorbed or narcissistic parent?

Did your parent often put their needs above yours when you were a child, and your relationship with them remains challenging now?

Have you accessed counselling or psychotherapy to work through those difficult experiences – from childhood and adulthood?

If you answered ‘yes’ to those questions and would like to take part in this research study, I would love to hear from you.

This aim of this research is to look at the experiences of adult children of emotionally immature / narcissistic parent(s) who have used counselling or psychotherapy to work through challenging experiences in relation to your parent(s).

The study will involve a short one-to-one audio-recorded interview to understand how counselling or psychotherapy supported you to work through these experiences.
