Patients, Partners & Healthcare Professionals: A Mixed Methods Study Exploring the Role of Satisfaction in Personal and Clinical Relationships on Symptom Experience and Severity in Fibromyalgia

This study explores how both personal (e.g., with a partner) and clinical (e.g., with healthcare professionals) relationships influence the experiences of people living with fibromyalgia. It focuses particularly on how aspects such as emotional support, communication, and relationship satisfaction may relate to symptom severity and overall wellbeing.

I am currently seeking healthcare professionals who have worked with individuals diagnosed with fibromyalgia to share their perspectives through a short online qualitative survey.

By incorporating the voices of clinicians, the study aims to build a fuller picture of how relational dynamics, both therapeutic and personal, affect the management of chronic pain. Findings from this research may inform future training and support for therapists working with this client group.

Participation is entirely anonymous and takes around 10–15 minutes to complete.
