Pleasure in Practice: Exploring U.K. Therapists’ Experiences Engaging with Young Women’s Sexual Well-Being in Practice
I am conducting a research study as part of my Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at the University of Manchester. The research aims to explore the experiences of U.K. therapists in engaging with the sexual well-being concerns of young women (i.e. those aged approximately 15-25 years who self-identify as a woman), with the goal of informing future practice and training in this area.
I would like to invite any interested therapists to participate in this study if they meet the following criteria:
- Are qualified therapists registered with a recognised professional body
- Have experience working with a client group that includes young women (aged 15-25 years)
- Currently practice in the U.K.
The study focuses on therapists’ experiences, and no confidential client information will be asked for. If you are interested, or if you would like to learn more about the study, please feel free to contact me at alexandra.janssen@postgrad.manchester.ac.uk.
Please note, for ethical reasons, I kindly ask that therapists who have a personal relationship with me, are currently experiencing significant distress, or believe this topic may cause distress, refrain from participating in this study.
