New accreditation routes available from February 2026

Applying for revised senior accreditation (senior accredited membership aligned to column C of the SCoPEd framework)

From February 2026 previous senior accredited members (awarded prior to 2023) will be able to apply for the revised senior accreditation by:Ìý

• the temporary accreditation route for those who don’t have a validated Level 7 (or equivalent) counselling psychotherapy qualification or
• the routes available for our accredited members, if eligible

There will be no cost for senior accredited members (awarded prior to 2023) to apply between February 2026 and January 2027.Ìý

If you have a validated Level 7 (or equivalent) counselling or psychotherapy qualification you can apply for the revised senior accredited membership category now – visit our apply for senior accreditation webpage for more information.ÌýÌý

If you’re a current Â鶹ԭ´´ accredited or senior accredited member and also a BPC psychodynamic counsellor or psychotherapist or a UKCP psychotherapist aligned to column C of the SCoPEd framework, you can move to our senior accredited membership category during the transition period. Please contact our customer services team for more information about the process to do this during the transition period.Ìý
